The centre’s next webinar on Thursday, 24 March at 3:00pm (AEDT) will explore the active and varied role in product stewardship that local councils play in the stewardship ecosystem.
The webinar will cover what makes a strong positive relationship between product stewardship initiatives and local councils, how to get there and what to avoid.
Our two guest speakers are Rebecca Brown, Manager Waste and Recycling with the Western Australia Local Government Association (WALGA) and Dominique Doyle, General Manager of Agsafe, which is responsible for drumMUSTER and ChemClear.
Rebecca and Dominique will discuss their lived experience and operational insights, including the different mechanisms that can effectively shift the responsibility upstream away from councils while still maintaining their enthusiastic participation.
As always, our webinar will conclude with an opportunity for participants to ask questions and discuss relevant issues.
The awards aim to recognise excellence and action in product stewardship and seek to raise the profile of stewardship in business, Government and NGOs.
The winners will be announced on Friday, 10 December.
