Waste Tyre Reprocessing Grant Program: Roads to Resource Recovery

The Department of Natural Resources and Environment Tasmania has announced the Waste Tyre Reprocessing Grant Program: Roads to Resource Recovery.

The program is a one-off grant providing up to $3 million to support industry to invest in a rubber crumbing plant to produce materials for reuse in road surfacing, or to develop other genuine solutions for tyre reuse in Tasmania.

Applications may only be submitted from 15 December 2022 and must be lodged by Monday 30 January 2023.

Tasmanian government funding second round of the Business Resource Efficiency Program

The Tasmanian government is providing $200,000 to fund a second round of the Business Resource Efficiency Program, which aims to help businesses that want to be part of the solution on waste and climate change. Applications are now open. [Announcement | Grants page]

The Product Stewardship Centre of Excellence is an independent, not for profit charity, that seeks to reduce waste generation and create positive environmental and social outcomes through sustainable design, resource conservation, reuse, repair, and recycling. The Centre helps businesses, industries, and product stewardship organisations to adopt a strong lifecycle approach to deliver their ESG and circular economy objectives. We also provide independent advice on product stewardship priorities to the Australian government.
