Critical Minerals Development Program The federal government has released guidelines for new grants under the Critical Minerals Development Program. Grants of between $1 million and $30 million are available for projects producing or planning to produce critical minerals required for low-emission technologies. CSIRO is looking to fund small to medium businesses with an annual turnover of $1.5m- $100m operating in one of the five growth sectors through their Innovation Connection program which will provide up to $130,000 of funding matched 1:1. This funding will help small to medium businesses overcome some of the barriers commonly associated with research and development (R&D), including identifying opportunities and connecting with research institutions to expand the scope of R&D services. Tyre Stewardship Australia (TSA) is inviting Australia’s brightest minds and enterprises to submit applications for funding and assistance to increase OTR tyre resource recovery and decrease the burden of waste for future generations. These funds can support practical commercial solutions in solving this challenge. TSA encourages and will consider a range of models, project areas and proposals, as long as they can demonstrably contribute to reaching TSAs desired outcomes and objectives. The EPA has posted a grants calendar to ensure that you don’t miss out on critical funding opportunities that are available under the Waste and Sustainable Materials Strategy 2041: Stage 1 Plan: 2021-2027 and the NSW Plastics Action Plan. The information will be updated periodically and is subject to change. Expressions of Interest for Circular Plastics Round 1 grants (up to $5 million) are currently open and close on 17 November 2022. Eligible applicants include small to medium manufacturers with fewer than 200 full-time equivalent staff involved at the ‘make’ phase of the product lifecycle. Expressions of interest (EOI) need to be submitted through the SmartyGrants Portal. Applications shortlisted from the EOI Stage will be eligible to participate in Stage 2 – Detailed Application. |
