Webinar: ACCC authorisation for product stewardship schemes
The centre’s next webinar on Friday, 3rd September at 11:00am (AEST) will explore why product stewardship schemes may risk breaching competition laws and how the ACCC can provide protection from court action for conduct that might otherwise raise concerns under those laws.
The webinar will cover what is involved in seeking this protection through the ACCC’s ‘authorisation’ process, including what information is needed, stakeholder consultation, and lastly the test that must be satisfied and timing for the assessment.
Our two guest speakers are Karen Gomez Chief Executive of Paintback from an existing accredited scheme and Robert Janissen A/g Assistant Director of Competition Exemptions, ACCC.
